PulmTools provides educational calculators, interpretation support, references, and practice tools for clinicians, supervised students, and respiratory care professionals. It is not intended to provide individualized care directly to patients.

Verify every input, unit, calculation, interpretation, and output against the complete clinical picture, current evidence, source methodology, institutional policy, and an appropriately qualified clinician before acting.

PulmTools does not replace physician judgment, bedside assessment, formal diagnosis, treatment planning, monitoring, or medical orders. Using the service does not create a clinician–patient relationship.

Do not use PulmTools as the sole or primary basis for decisions in resuscitation, critical illness, medication dosing, mechanical ventilation, ECMO, or any other high-risk or time-sensitive setting.

Incorrect, incomplete, mistimed, misread, or mismatched patient data can produce an inappropriate result. Confirm measurement conditions, units, reference ranges, assumptions, and population limitations for each tool.

Review each tool’s explanation, equations, assumptions, limitations, citations, and evidence date. If the basis is unclear or cannot be independently reviewed, do not rely on the output for patient care.
Before clinical use
PulmTools may contain errors, omissions, outdated material, software defects, or interruptions. Clinical guidance, drug labeling, formulas, and accepted practice can change.
No guarantee is made that any result is complete, current, error-free, continuously available, or appropriate for a particular person or situation.
PulmTools is not an electronic health record, patient chart, or substitute for required clinical documentation. Do not use saved notes or practice history as the official record of care.
Do not enter names, medical record numbers, full dates of birth, or other direct patient identifiers into free-text or saved fields.
PulmTools is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ledgeworks LLC, as the owner and operator of PulmTools, and its owners, contributors, and service providers are not liable for injury, adverse outcomes, loss, or damages arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the service or its content. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations, so portions of this paragraph may not apply to you.
